Whitney was chosen to receive the Osher Foundation Reentry Scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year in the amount of $3125.00. Whitney competed against other reentry students on the grounds of academic merit. The Osher Foundation, founded by Bernard Osher in 1977, supports lifelong learning, many arts programs, and reentry scholarships for students completing their undergraduate degree.
